As the data controller, the Hospital is responsible for informing you of the purposes and methods by which we collect, use, and disclose your personal data, as well as notifying you of your rights as a data subject.

Definition

  • Personal data refers to any information relating to an individual that enables the identification of such person, whether directly or indirectly, excluding information pertaining to deceased individuals.

  • Sensitive personal data refers to personal data concerning race, ethnicity, political opinions, ideological beliefs, religion or philosophy, sexual behavior, criminal records, health information, disabilities, labor union membership, genetic data, biometric data (including but not limited to facial recognition, iris scans, and fingerprint data), or any other information that may impact the rights and freedoms of an individual as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Committee.

  • Data processing refers to any operation performed on personal data, including the collection, use, or disclosure of such data.

  • Data controller refers to an individual or legal entity that has the authority to make decisions regarding the collection, use, or disclosure of personal data.

  • Data processor refers to an individual or legal entity that processes personal data on behalf of, or under the instructions of, the data controller. A data processor does not have the authority to make decisions regarding personal data and is therefore not considered a data controller.

  • The Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Group (BDMS Group) refers to companies within the network of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), including both current and future entities, whether registered in Thailand or abroad. This also includes Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) itself.

  • Hospitals within the BDMS network refer to hospitals operating under the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) group, both within Thailand and internationally.

4. Computer Usage Data If you are a website visitor: IP Address, Browser type, Cookie data, Time zone settings, Operating system, Platform, and Device technology used to access the website and Online Appointment System.
