This expansion marks a significant milestone in the Group’s mission to deliver advanced, future-ready healthcare in Thailand’s eastern region. Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital is well positioned to evolve into a comprehensive medical hub, serving both local communities and international patients. Moreover, this development underscores Thailand’s growing role in global health and medical tourism, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional leader in wellness-focused and experience-driven healthcare travel.

Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital is a general hospital with a capacity of 1,500 outpatient visits per day and 113 inpatient beds. Building on the success of the original Phyathai Sriracha Hospital, which has served the community for more than 28 years, the establishment of this new hospital aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of residents in Chonburi Province and surrounding areas.

As part of the Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group under Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital focuses on delivering specialized medical services across a wide range of disciplines, providing comprehensive, high-quality care for both general patients and insurance holders. The hospital has earned strong trust and recognition within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), one of Thailand’s most important strategic economic development zones.

Mr. Att Thongtang, Chief Executive Officer of the Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group, stated that

“Phyathai Sriracha Hospital is committed to continuously enhancing its service capabilities to ensure seamless and continuous patient care. We recognize the importance of every step in the treatment process. Moreover, the readiness of our experienced medical professionals and the integration of advanced medical technologies significantly enhance the effectiveness and safety of patient care.”

Mr. Att also emphasized the importance of strengthening the hospital’s medical workforce. The Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group actively recruits healthcare professionals from various specialties and provides scholarship programs to support physicians and nurses in their academic and professional development. In addition, specialized interdisciplinary training programs have been developed for healthcare teams—including nurses, laboratory scientists, pharmacists, and medical technologists—to further enhance clinical expertise. This comprehensive approach enables the local community to access high-quality medical care without the need to travel to Bangkok.

To further enhance patient convenience, the hospital has integrated the Health Up application, allowing patients to access medical services easily through their mobile devices. Through the application, patients can review medical histories, schedule appointments with physicians, access health information, and utilize Telecare services seamlessly. This digital integration is particularly significant in the EEC region, where more than 400,000 residents have relocated and adopted increasingly modern and fast-paced lifestyles.

Mr. Att stated that Phyathai Sriracha Hospital has been in operation since 1995 and began providing Social Security healthcare services in 1999, with a strong emphasis on quality and standardized care. As a result, the number of insured individuals steadily increased to approximately 250,000, and the hospital was honored with the Social Security Hospital of the Year award last year.

In response to its strong performance and service quality, the hospital was granted an additional quota of 115,000 insured individuals this year. Recognizing the rapidly growing demand for healthcare services—particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), where industrial and business development continues to expand—the hospital has invested in facility expansion to better accommodate service recipients.

With the increasing need for healthcare support among workers and labor groups, the Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group has invested in expanding hospital infrastructure in Chonburi Province. This expansion includes the launch of Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital, which is designed to alleviate congestion at existing hospitals and to develop into a key medical center for the region in the future.

Looking ahead, the Group plans to invest in another 225-bed hospital in the Bo Win Industrial Estate in 2025, which will serve as a major healthcare hub for residents of Chonburi and neighboring districts.

Dr. Chanchai Leesomprasong, Director of Phyathai Sriracha Hospital, stated that the original Phyathai Sriracha Hospital has been serving the community for nearly three decades, continuously advancing medical expertise and knowledge to meet modern healthcare standards. This ongoing development has positioned the hospital as a trusted healthcare provider for the local population, ensuring that insured individuals receive high-value medical services.

He emphasized the hospital’s commitment to becoming a cornerstone healthcare institution for the EEC community, with a strong focus on delivering quality services at reasonable prices through a secure and accessible healthcare network—particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor, a major industrial zone. The hospital aims to provide comprehensive medical care and has therefore expanded its service capacity to support up to 500,000 insured individuals.

Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital was established to serve both general patients and Social Security beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the original Phyathai Sriracha Hospital is being developed into a Center of Medical Excellence, with upgraded facilities designed to serve both premium and Social Security patients who require complex or specialized medical care.

Key services now include minimally invasive surgery, cardiac surgery, and cancer chemotherapy. In addition, the hospital plans to expand wellness and preventive health services, along with a broad range of medical specialties supported by a team of over 280 highly qualified physicians.

Over the past year, the hospital’s Infertility Center has received international recognition for its quality of care, earning AACI (American Accreditation Commission International) certification from the United States. In addition, the hospital has been certified as a Trauma Level 3 Center for emergency management.

Furthermore, the hospital is currently in the process of obtaining TEMSA certification, which is based on safety principles across three key dimensions: patient safety, personnel safety, and public safety. This certification framework ensures the delivery of efficient and well-coordinated emergency medical services.

Phyathai Sriracha Hospital and its healthcare network are therefore well equipped to respond promptly, safely, and reliably to a wide range of emergency situations, serving as a critical medical pillar for the people of Chonburi Province and surrounding areas, including both Thai nationals and international residents who experience emergency incidents.

Ms. Pramaporn Prasatthong-Osoth, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), commented on the expansion of BDMS’s medical business in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), stating:

“BDMS is committed to advancing Thailand’s healthcare industry toward sustainable global standards, particularly by reducing disparities in access to healthcare services nationwide. Currently, BDMS operates more than 50 hospitals across the country, with the latest addition being Phyathai Sriracha 2 Hospital under the Phyathai–Paolo Hospital Group in the Sriracha area. This expansion is intended to meet the healthcare needs of the local population and support the continued growth of industries in the region, in response to the steadily increasing demand for medical services.”

Expanding business operations in the EEC is not solely about meeting market demand or driving economic growth; it also plays a strategic role in positioning the organization as a leading provider of medical services in the EEC region. This expansion aligns with the hospital group’s long-term business strategy and contributes to Thailand’s development as an international healthcare hub, attracting foreign investment and supporting medical and health tourism in accordance with national policy.

Such efforts represent a proactive response to global changes and evolving healthcare demands, ensuring effective, resilient, and sustainable growth on an international scale.

Ms. Pramaporn further stated:

“BDMS has been recognized as one of the strongest healthcare organizations in the EEC, guided by a clear vision to lead in medical services and healthcare excellence at an international standard. Our commitment to responsible business practices toward society, local communities, and the environment has consistently earned trust and confidence in our healthcare services throughout Thailand, particularly in the rapidly developing EEC region. Moreover, we aim to create opportunities for communities in the area to benefit from medical advancements and investments in healthcare facilities and infrastructure, contributing to sustainable, long-term economic growth.”

We aim to provide patients with experiences of excellent care and state-of-the-art technology, all the while concentrating on training medical professionals to successfully meet our patients' demands with top-notch medical services.
